Before the film can be considered finished, it has to go through the post production process which involves: editing, rendering and the addition of visual effects and computer graphics. All the activities involved in post production are very detailed and precise and thus have to be done very carefully. That is why, the post-production phase usually takes longer that the actual shooting of the film.
